Beyond the Brush Studio & Class Policy
As part of the development of our new studio and gallery at Beyond the Brush, we have developed a policy and procedure to support fulfillment of student as well as teacher obligations. Our goal is to provide a supportive, creative atmosphere for artistic skills to grow and develop while sustaining our family-owned business. As such, we wish to extend our gratitude and appreciation for your willingness to support us!
⸻
Tuition & Enrollment
Classes are offered in packages of four (4) one-hour sessions.
• Children (up to 17): $140
• Adults (18+): $160
Full payment is required in advance to secure and maintain your scheduled sessions. Our studio operates on a continuous enrollment model.
This means that once a student begins classes, their spot is reserved on an ongoing basis. At the end of each 4-session cycle, enrollment automatically continues into the next session unless we are notified otherwise.
To discontinue classes, we kindly require notice before the start of the next scheduled cycle.
We are proud to offer instruction in both English and Spanish, allowing us to serve and connect with a diverse community of artists.
⸻
Materials
Tuition includes personalized instruction and most materials used within the studio.
Please note that specialized materials, including oil painting and certain mixed media projects, may require an additional fee.
⸻
Attendance & Makeup Policy
We understand that life happens, and we do our best to be flexible within reason.
• A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to reschedule a class.
• Missed classes due to vacation, illness, or emergencies must be made up within the same 4-session cycle.
• Missed classes without notice (“no-shows”) are not eligible for makeup.
• Sessions do not roll over beyond the current 4 class package.
⸻
Payment Policy
All payments are final and non-refundable.
Missed classes, unused sessions, or schedule changes do not qualify for refunds or credits.
⸻
Sick Policy
At Beyond the Brush, we prefer to share creativity, not germs.
In consideration for others, please refrain from coming to class if you or your student are feeling under the weather.
Additionally, if you or your student is too sick for work/school, we would appreciate it if they would not come to art class as well.
If you have tested positive or have been in contact with someone that has tested positive for COVID-19, please refrain from coming to class.
If we are concerned about the risk to health or well-being of others, we reserve the right to restrict admission to class.
Please contact us to make special arrangements for a sick day make-up session.
⸻
Inclement Weather
We will generally adhere to the Hamilton County Public School System schedule in the event of inclement weather.
If the studio is closed due to weather, we will notify you. If school is delayed, the studio will hold classes at its regular time; however, please contact us if it is not possible for your child to attend.
If we have a delay in starting time or closing, we will notify you of such and discuss make-up classes.
⸻
Behavior
We want the atmosphere to be welcoming and creative in the studio space and as such, any student found to be disruptive during class may be dismissed with no refund. We have a no tolerance policy for disruptive behavior or violence. Please be respectful.
⸻
Thank you for your support and understanding!
